Red Ribbon Week

October 29-November 2, 2018

Emge Elementary will be celebrating our annual Red Ribbon Week from October 29-November 2.  During Red Ribbon Week, students and staff will honor a commitment to live a drug-free and healthy life.  In addition, since October is Bullying Prevention Month, we will also focus on motivating kids to make positive choices that impact both themselves and others.

In Remembrance:  The Red Ribbon Campaign started when Federal Agent Enrique Camarena was murdered by drug traffickers in 1985.  He spent his life dedicated to making a visible effort to rid our communities of illegal drugs. In response to his death, communities across the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of the commitment to a drug free lifestyle.  Red Ribbon Week is dedicated to teaching drug prevention in our school systems and communities.

Below are the daily activities:

I pledge to be Drug Free!

Students and staff will wear red to show their commitment to a drug-free lifestyle.

Tuesday, October 30
