Check Out

Students in kindergarten through fifth grade have open access to the library each day and have a scheduled library class each week. I believe that children need access to books in order to grow as readers. That is why students are encouraged to visit the library frequently to return finished books and select new ones.

Each grade level has a basic loan limit. Depending on circumstances this limit may change from time to time such as when a student needs extra materials for a class project.

To encourage personal responsibility with library books students may become a "Super Star" by having excellent book return habits. Students who have earned "Super Star" status are allowed to check out an extra book.
