Kindergarten Book Club
Eligible Students: K
We will be meeting approximately every other week until December to enjoy the Building Block Books which are part of the Missouri Library Association’s student choice program. We will read each of the nominees and do some related crafts and activities for some of the books. At the end of the program each child will vote for his/her favorite one.
S.H.A.R.E. Club (Sharing, Helping and Respecting Everyone)
Eligible Students: K-5th Grades
Do you like helping others? Then this is the club for you. SHARE Club members will meet at school for a meeting to make something special or to organize a service project to SHARE with people in our community. Children in each grade will be able to join SHARE Club; however, we may split grade levels for some meetings and meet as a whole for others. S.H.A.R.E. club members will help organize major events at school such as Salvation Army toy drive and Reading Week Food Drive! Students in S.H.A.R.E. club will have many opportunities to work at the start of the school day helping to collect items and making announcements on the intercom.
Meeting times will be sent home as determined by our specific events at a later date.

STUDENT COUNCIL
Eligible Students: 4th-5th Grades
Student Council members participate in a variety of leadership activities for the school. We will elect a president and vice-president to help lead our meetings and act as treasurers and secretaries. The student council will promote service projects, serve as ushers/hosts and create advertisement for PTO events, represent our student body by discussing relevant issues with the principal and promote participation within our school community. We will meet monthly mostly on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:00 a.m. We also meet additional dates for projects, but those are optional. Completing and turning in a form does NOT ensure you are in the club. You will receive a follow-up notice whether you are in the club or on the waiting list.

CHOIR CLUB
Eligible Students: 4th & 5th Grades
The Emge Choir club is a performing group that promotes teamwork, gives a sense of belonging, raises school spirit, and is fun! Students are given the opportunity to apply concepts learned in their vocal music class including singing as an ensemble, reading music and singing in harmony. The chorus meets weekly to prepare for special events inside and outside of school. Any 4th or 5th grader can join. I am looking for students that enjoy singing and want to make music together. Choir is a yearlong club that will meet after school on Wednesdays from 4:15-5:00 in Music room #33. The choir will perform several times throughout the year. Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, September 14th.

ART CLUB
Eligible Students: 4th & 5th Grade
Art Club is open to students in grades 4 & 5. We will meet every scheduled Tuesday before school from 8:00-8:45 a.m. in the art room #5. If you are interested in using art materials including clay, papier-mâché, tempera paint, watercolors, collage and more sign up for our club. Come be creative and have some fun with art!
NOTE: This club will have two or more sessions depending on enrollment. Students will receive a schedule with exact dates.

WEE DELIVER
Eligible Students: 4th Grade
The Wee Deliver club is open to any fourth grader who can meet before school on Thursday. It is based around a school-wide mailing system. All teachers and staff members will have addresses and mailboxes. Students in all grades will have the opportunity to write letters, address envelopes, and send them to his/her friends, teachers, and staff members at Emge. Wee Deliver club members will be in charge of picking-up, sorting, and delivering the mail every week. This club meets during October, November and March.

Google Club
Eligible Students: 3rd Grade
Do you love creating projects with technology? Then Google Club is for you! 3rd graders will use Chromebooks and iPads to explore fun, educational apps and websites, as well as create collaborative projects using Google Docs, Drawings, and Slides. In addition to learning to use Google apps, students will practice keyboarding and learn coding. This club will have two or more sessions depending on enrollment.
SPECIAL NOTE (DAY AND TIME CHANGE): We will meet at right after school on Wednesdays until 5pm.

COMPUTER CLUB #2 (Scratch Jr.)
Eligible Students: 1st Grade
Coding is the new literacy! With ScratchJr students will program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer. We will meet on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. This club will be limited to 20.

EARTH CLUB
Eligible Students: 1st Grade
Earth Club is looking for hardworking first graders that care about their school and the environment that surrounds it. Earth Club has a big responsibility to our inviting school. We will meet during the first Tuesday of every month to clean up around the outside of our school building and help with our school's recycling program.

SCRAPBOOK CLUB
Eligible Students: 4th, & 5th Grade
Scrapbook Club is open to students in grades 4 & 5. We will meet the first Thursday of each month before school from 8:00-8:45 a.m. in the art room #5. If you are interested in learning scrapbooking techniques and putting together a scrapbook of your own sign up for our club! This club is for both students who know these techniques and new learners. Come be creative and learn how to save your memories and photographs. Students will receive a schedule with exact dates.

YEARBOOK CLUB
Eligible Students: 4th and 5th Grade
Do you like looking at the yearbook and want to help be a part of putting it together? Then join the Yearbook Club! We will take many pictures and document them for the whole school to enjoy. This club is limited to 20 students. This is an afterschool club. We will meet 2nd semester in January and February and possibly March on Wednesdays (more information to come.) Can't wait to see you there!
Note: This is an afterschool club and will meet from 4:00-4:30pm in room 23.

DRAMA CLUB
Eligible Students: 5th Graders
The Drama Club allows students the opportunity to explore performance on stage and/or assisting with performances behind the scenes aiding with scene development. Students will commit to about 3 practices weekly, a dress rehearsal, and a final day and evening performance in front of the school and parents in May. We will meet several mornings around 8:00 am for approximately 4-5 weeks prior to the final production. We will start tryouts in March followed by practices in March and April. A performance date is expected to be in early May. I am flexible with other clubs!

Sign Language Club
Eligible Students: 1st and 2nd Graders
The Sign Language Club is looking for students to join our club. We are looking for students who want to learn a new way to communicate to others. We will learn all kinds of signs and have fun doing it! We will also be performing songs with signs during the Veterans Day Assembly, so this may require extra meeting dates. We will meet on Tuesdays. Can’t wait to see you there!

NEWSPAPER CLUB
Eligible Students: 5th Graders
The Emge Newspaper Club is looking for interested students to help organize and publish a school-wide student newspaper for the reading enjoyment of students, staff and parents. Students will collaborate as a team and lend any special talents in an effort to produce a quarterly newspaper. Responsibilities will include interviewing students and staff, gathering, storing/retrieval of information, editing, revising and publishing articles, graphics and pictures. The Emge Newspaper Club is a continuous process and club attendance and participation is required in order for the club to be successful. We will meet on two-three select Fridays a month from 8:00-8:45 a.m. An exact schedule of dates will come home.

STAMP COLLECTING CLUB
Eligible students: 3rd and 4th Graders
Attention 3rd and 4thgraders! Are you looking for a unique hobby? Then Stamp Collecting Club is for you! Members of the Stamp Collecting Club will bring, earn, and trade stamps during the monthly meetings. You will also learn the history and significance behind many stamps all over the world. We will meet one MONDAY a month at 8:00 a.m. in room 13. *Students in this club will need to bring a binder to each meeting for keeping their stamps organized. All the stamps will be provided by the sponsor.

BOOK CLUB
Eligible Students: 2nd Graders
Book Club is looking for second graders who LOVE to read. A new book will be introduced at the beginning of each month. Students will have the entire month to read the book and come prepared to discuss at the following meeting. They will also participate in a FUN, culminating activity for each book they read. Book Club will meet on the first Friday (and some select Thursdays) of each month from 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. An exact schedule of dates will be sent home.

P.E. CLUB
Eligible students: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders
If you like to learn and play lots of fun active games, check out Emge’s P.E. club! In this club, students will engage in a variety of fun of fun games and activities. This club is limited to 24 students per grade level. It will be broken up into grade levels. Some grades will meet the first half of the year and the other grades will meet the 2nd half. We will meet on Mondays, Thursdays after school. . All information will be sent home once I can review the sign ups.
Note: This is and after school club and will meet 4:00 to 4:55pm.

RUNNING CLUB
Eligible students: 4th and 5th Graders
Calling all 4th and 5th Graders! Do you like to run and stay active? Running Club incorporates running into a variety of fun games and activities. Whether you consider yourself a runner right now or want to start getting active, this club will offer many games that you’ll enjoy and will get you active and moving. We will also participate in an optional 5K run on the weekend. With a 25 student maximum each sessions, this club will be split into 3 sessions. Students who sign up will be notified of which session they are enrolled in.
Running Club will meet Fridays before school at 8:00am.

SCIENCE CLUB
In science club our primary objective is to get the students interested and excited about science. Club activities are designed primarily to introduce students to guided-inquiry based, hands-on science exploration. The students will be building, creating, mixing, manipulating, learning and having fun! This club will meet weekly on Tuesdays after school from 4:00-5:00. It is open to our third graders.

TECHNOLOGY STUDENT ASSOCIATION (TSA) #1
Eligible students: 2ND Graders
Using Lego Robotics as a vehicle of instruction, students will gain exposure to engineering, computer programming and problem solving. Students will also learn to use math to solve real world problems in an exciting yet challenging environment. This is an introduction to robotics programming using the LEGO® program “We-Do”! TSA#1 will meet on Monday afternoons from 4:00-5:00 p.m. This club is limited to 10 students. NOTE: This club will have two or more sessions depending on enrollment. Sponsor: Mrs. Schuttenberg
TECHNOLOGY STUDENT ASSOCIATION (TSA) #2
Eligible students: 5th Graders

SPANISH CLUB
Eligible Students: 2nd Grade
Hola, amigos! (Hello, friends!) Are you interested in learning Spanish? In Spanish Club we will learn how to read and speak some Spanish including numbers, days of the week, colors, and much more! We will also learn about Spanish and Mexican cultures through arts and crafts and games. Our meetings will be twice a month on Wednesdays at 8:00-8:45 am in room 19. A schedule with exact dates will be sent home.

MARK TWAIN NOMINEE BOOK CLUB
Eligible students: 4th and 5th Graders
Do you love to read? Do you want the chance to enjoy the Mark Twain nominees and share how great these books are with others? Then this is the club for you.
This club will be open to fourth and fifth grade students. We will focus on reading and sharing some of this year's Mark Twain Nominees. We will meet on the second and fourth Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 pm of each month until voting for our favorites takes place in late February.
