              About Our School

The school is named in honor of Russell H. Emge, a community and civic leader of O'Fallon, Missouri. A framed portrait of Mr. Emge is located in the main foyer of the school. Mr. Emge was a strong supporter of the Fort Zumwalt School District and led many efforts within the community to assist the district with bond issues and other growth-related issues. In many ways, Mr. Emge could be best described as a dedicated friend of the Fort Zumwalt School District. Among his interests in the school district, Mr. Emge was involved in the following civic activities:

              • Served on the first St. Charles County Charter Commission
              • Led in O'Fallon industrial development
              • Wrote a Development plan for federal housing
              • Supported the St. Louis Cardinals for 25 years
              • Participated actively in Kiwanis and the Optimist Club
              • Served 27 years as Khoury League Director and organizer of youth baseball
              • Was an active member of Williams Memorial Methodist Church

As you can see, it is very important that the school be named for such a civic-minded individual as Mr. Emge. This honor gives testament to his total dedication to the O'Fallon community.
